It cannot move money
Sprout asks your bank for read access only. There is no transfer, no payment, no card control. It is not a setting you can switch on.

AI personal finance · read-only
Connect your bank, then just ask. Sprout reads the statements you already have and answers in words you would actually use.
Ask anything
Pick one and watch what comes back. This is the real shape of an answer: a number, the breakdown behind it, and where it came from.
A sample conversation. Your own answers come only from the accounts you connect.
What Sprout does
Spending, subscriptions, cash flow, and the charges that look wrong. Ask in plain English and get the number with the receipts.
Works where you do
Native apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac with widgets and a Live Activity, the same account in the browser, and a Claude connector for asking money questions where you already chat.
Why Sprout
Budgeting apps ask you to manage categories. Chatbots ask you to upload statements. Sprout connects once and answers from fresh data, with the accounts and dates on every answer.

Everything in one place
Balances, card debt, and sync status sit together, so you know what is actually there before you ask about it.
The boring part that matters
This is a money app, so the limits are worth saying plainly.
Sprout asks your bank for read access only. There is no transfer, no payment, no card control. It is not a setting you can switch on.
Plaid runs the sign-in. Sprout never sees, stores, or transmits your banking password.
Every number names the accounts and the date range behind it, so you can check it against your statement.
Disconnect a bank in one tap. Delete your account and we erase your banks, transactions, and conversations.

Common questions
No. The connection Sprout requests is read-only, so payments, transfers, and card changes are not available to it. Ask Sprout to pay a bill and it will tell you it cannot. More on our security page.
Only your bank. Plaid handles the sign-in inside its own flow and hands Sprout an authorized connection, never your password.
Eligible banks, credit unions, and card issuers available through Plaid in the United States and Canada. The connection flow shows the institutions currently available to you.
Anything your transactions can answer: where your money went, what you spend on a merchant, which subscriptions keep renewing, how this month compares with last, your cash flow, and charges that look unusual. Browse 100 example questions.

Sprout answers budget questions instead of making you build envelopes. Ask if you are on pace this month, whether you can afford something, or how your spending splits into needs and wants. How it works.
Only when you ask a question, and only the records needed to answer it. Sprout's own server-side tools do the math, and every answer names the accounts and dates it used.
